Thur - Shopping for the kids

Woke up early this morning and went to the bank to convert the small fortune that Anita had been carrying with her to Yuan.  We had gone back and forth about whether or not to buy a industrial washer for the kids.  Winter is coming and it is really hard to dry cloth diapers when it is not sunny.  To get the washer would have been all our money and a little more.  After several conversations the care givers told us they wanted diapers, rice cereal, vitamins, books, CD's, and videos.  Our first stop was the grocery.  Thankfully you can have the disposable diapers and rice cereal delivered.  Our next stop was KFC for lunch.  Hmmm..... when did KFC start serving Salmon cubes w/ mystery sauce???
Next up the Pharmacy, where all the ladies working there wore cute little white lab coats and nurses caps.  We loaded a rolling suitcase with vitamins and headed off to buy a CD player.  We bought some videos we think might be bootleg copies.  We read the English description on the back of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD and it was a prologue for Desperate Housewives....hmmm.
Off to the video store, bookstore, back to the electronics store, and finally off to the outdoor fabric market.  Those of you who know my affinity for fabric knows the amount of self control it took me not to buy fabric.  It was around 15 Yuan for a meter and a half.  We bought enough material for 1,000 cloth diapers.  The lady we purchased it from was going to make the diapers as well.  The picture attached is the machine she uses.  A little bit different than my computerized Brother machine.  Okay, okay, I admit, I bought a meter and a half of Mickey Mouse fabric... there I said it.  ;^)
